The story of Firma Mazur
1989 - 1994
The 'Firma Mazur' company was founded in 1989 by Piotr Mazur. It offered its clients appliances that would improve their quality of life, i.e. water filters for treatment of potable water. The first order for the performance of a water slide was a result of a fortunate combination of both luck and chance. Due to this project, the company acquired 2 factories floors and an office and was now able to begin working on the product and its promotion. The office and the steel factory were located in Świętochłowice, whereas the production of laminated materials in Rudziniec near Gliwice. It was high time to start to form a group of staff members capable of designing constructions, producing polyester and glass laminated elements and supportive constructions, as well as their assembly. The first project performed by the company, in Chorzów in 1994, resulted in the investor's positive opinion, meetings with mayors and cooperation with laminate industry professionals, all of which have helped the company to complete subsequent orders.
1995 - 1999
There has been a sharp rise in demand for such attractions in outdoor and indoor municipal swimming pools. Poland, being in a phase of its market and infrastructure reconstruction, became a place where bold solutions were being carried out. Year by year the company produced and assembled more slides; by1994 Firma Mazur had completed 2 projects, and after 5 years of conducting business that figure increased by 38.
2000 - 2008
The beginning of the 21st century brought the first foreign project- a swimming pool in Kiev, Ukraine, bought a 36 running meter Anaconda slide. Russia was the second foreign market on which Mazur slides appeared. These enterprises convinced Firma Mazur to venture reaching a broader market and present their products to foreign customers. There appeared new orders from the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, and Hungary as well. What is more, Firma Mazur established business relations with an American entertainment company. These business relations have resulted in more than 17 slides built in the United States. The first order was shipped to Virginia in 2007, and the subsequent ones to Garrett, Ohio, Michigan, Texas and Springfield. The constantly increasing demand has motivated the company's owner to join the shop floors and company's branches. Therefore, the construction works of a modern office building and shop floor began in 2007. Since 2008 the products of Firma Mazur have been distributed by EXW Bytom.
Since 2008
Further changes on the world markets have inspired Firma Mazur to change its formal status in in 2013 from a natural person's business activity to a limited partnership led by Piotr Mazur. This move was accompanied by a number of brand image alterations involving the modification of the company's logo and preparing a whole new set of advertising materials.
In order to be a company recognized around the world, Firma Mazur regularly participates in swimming pool trade shows organized in Germany, the U.S.A. and Russia. Thus far the Polish swimming pool industry has held only one such event, that is the BUDMA fair with the participation of CBS (Sports and Leisure Construction) department, organized annually by Poznan International Fair. These events helped Firma Mazur to win new investors from South Korea, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Holland, Ireland, England, Serbia and Slovakia.
Today, the company has 27 years of experience in the swimming pool industry, gained on 550 construction sites on 27 foreign markets.
Since the beginning of its business operation the company has cared for the promotion and implementation of innovative solutions, swimming pool attractions and world top quality standards. Apart from continual perfecting of water slides and enriching their attractiveness, Firma Mazur has launched such unique products like movable swimming pool floors, floating platforms, Modular Water Playgrounds to name but a few.
What is more, the modern office and production site allows for realization of orders that are not related to the swimming pool industry and which concern polyester and glass laminates. A perfect example of such orders are the hermetically sealed covers of a sewage treatment plant.
